Hmm, I've never seen a PS4 hoax before, but what reason would someone have to create a hoax for playstation 4? I mean, what would they gain from it?

What makes you predict 2018?

If the PS3 has a 10 year life cycle that would take us to 2016, but former President of Sony Europe predicts 2012 as the next year for a new console from Microsoft and Sony. Playstation 4 and Xbox 720 predicted for '2 years time' says ex-Sony executive

I completley agree with this, plus, all video game consoles in the past have lasted 6 years, which would in turn be 2012
