ThePS4Forums.com looks at the ps4 facts to demonstrate what we can expect from the forthcoming PS4 Console.
In recent months
rumors regarding the forthcoming
PS4 have been spreading thick and fast across the internet, and the world of casual gamers. With these rumors comes alot of false information of course, so here we are aiming to clear up what is true, and false about the
Playstation 4.
So, what can we confirm? Lets look at the
PS4 facts:
- The PS4 IS most certainly on it's way. However, no sooner than early 2011, and most probably between the years of mid 2011, to late 2012.
- Support for the PS3 console will NOT be dropped, at least not straight away. Sony will continue to sell and support the outdated console for a time after the PS4's initial release.
- Sony has already discussed the future console with software developers, and plan to base the PS4 on a unique cell processor which could provide double the power of the PS3.
- Sony is said to be looking at ditching the XDR memory, and switching to JEDEC RAM, which is more cost-effective.
- The PS4 console will be slimmer than the PS3.

And thats it, for now! Anything else you read on the net should be taken as just a rumor. The important thing to remember of course, we are only just heading into March 2009, we are set for 12-24 months of speculation before we get any concrete, confirmed
PS4 facts.
