ps4 is bad!

i think the ps4 will be a bad idea. think about it: everyone with a ps3 works hard to get to the top of their game online, spent months, even years on it. the ps4 comes out with a completely different server and doesn't accept ps3 games (just like the ps3 with ps2 games). gradually everyone starts getting the ps4 and people like me who won't be able to afford it will end up running around by themselves on online maps while the ps4 players go nuts in their awsome 3D graphics and whatnot. personally i say no to the ps4 unless the server is the same and ps3 games will be accepted in it.

agreed slightly but then the ps3 will have more of a price cut so hopfully the ps4 will price cut eventually like how the psp and the ps2 did

I agree, I think they should make every PlayStation on the same server so if you have a PS4, all you have to do is log in and you still have all of your acheviements and stuff, but on the PS4. That would be cool. Also when the PS4 is released, I won't get it straight away. I will get it when a price drop happens.

You make a good point. I think they should implement backward compatibility this time, it would make everything so much easier.

it depends upon the price at which it is offered.i hope it is not overpriced ,it must be in my budget.

Since it'll probably be on bluray too, I don't think that there would be any problem with backwards compatibility. Also, by the time the ps4 comes out I'm sure even those who say they won't will buy it (once the price drops! ) because it'll surely look awesome

ok, explaning time: Every game console HAS to play the disks(or cartriges or ect.) of the last system. but, they have a way of getting around it, like the PS3 did. What they did was the first faulty version that came out played PS2 games(trust me, my uncle has one), but its only for the ones that you bought for origonal price in the 1st one or 2 months, meaning when the price dropped, they no longer played PS2 games. I hope this sort of helped you see things clearly.

I'm sure this same mentality was thought of among PS2 owners but the next console will obviously be a must buy just like the PS3 was.
