![]() Click here for more information. What happens with the PlayStation 3 is that over time the heat generated by the Cell processor and the Graphics processor causes the wires that connect everything to the Motherboard to melt off. This cuts off communication between the parts and causes your PS3 to display a Yellow Light of Death (YLOD). Now unfortunately most of the time this happens when your warranty is expired, which seems like a brilliant master plan by Sony to take your money. They charge you anywhere around $200 plus taxes and shipping to get it fixed. The good news is that we show you how to easily fix it yourself. There is absolutely nothing hard or tedious about it, all you need to do is follow our easy to read guide and within 40 minutes or LESS you will be back playing your PS3. You don't need any technical knowledge what so ever, anyone can do it. |

To prevent this prob, i think we can play ps3 games with a Specific time gap.. i mean we can play for 2 to 3hrs and leave some gap and then start again..
Can we do that or it too makes the same prob?? |

Damn you Sony! Just as the warranty runs out, typical. Unfortunately this is common practice among big companies like this. Sky do the same thing with their Sky boxes.

Hmm, I've never seen or heard of this issue before. I'll have to look into it and look for steps to prevent it so that it doesn't happen to my PC. Has this happened to any on this forum?

I too approve of the time gap play to prevent or thwart this problem. Otherwise we may have to keep our fingers crossed after the warranty period gets over.

I thought the PS was free of the errors that cause gamers profound sadness. I know none of my friends have had this happen to them.

if you know how to fix the problem, it's getting easier. For those who don't know how you can fix the error, take a look below. i share some basic tips please see ....
1)Turn off your playstation 3. If you think your ps3 has been caught by the heat, then wait at least 20 minutes and put it back on again 2) Check if there's any loose cable. 3) Try to put out your playstation's hard-drive, and put it back in. You might want to repeat this 2-3 times for better results.
