Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 - Review
Quote:

Genre: Sports
Age: 3 +
Rec. Price: $ 99
Developer: EA Tiburon
Publisher: EA Sports
This year's edition of the Tour brings a few new things to the fairways, but no major surprises lurking.
It seems that EA is unable to decide how you will be rewarded with skill points in the career section. The last two years has had to play well in different areas to improve on these. Now they have returned to a very simple point system that is similar to what we know from most RPGs.
You earn skill points as you fill in the various categories that we then use to improve different areas of expertise such as power and precision. This is too easy and never gives me any great pleasure in building up my own golf star. The result is that the career mode is too tedious.
In last year's version did EA put the system a real overhaul, and this year is the path the game that is next. Visibility circle is removed, and instead of the camera follows the ball path, you can now see the ball from the player's point of view. This means that you have read the tracks much better, and helps increase the realism and difficulty significantly. This new thing is for me the highlight of this year's edition.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 delivers the goods, and as last year's game very solid. But it can never quite arousing interest in golf in me again. Did you purchase the previous edition and is passionate about golf, this is a game purchase you can currently put on ice. But since Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is compatible with autumn's Playstation Move remains to see how it will affect the gameplay.
