The network enables online gaming, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and other services.

After using the playstation network for just a day at a friends house I have say thank good that it doesn't cost anything. It disconnects randomly all the time and it's not just him who has that problem, virtually everyone in the area those so it's probably just a locational thing. Still good thing MAG has it's own servers otherwise it would be a pretty bad game.

Yeh, the best thing about the Playstation network is that it is free. I remember buying it for the PS2. I preferred it back then on the games I used to play. It took me 2 years on the PS3 to finally get Pro Evolution to work online. I searched forever on the internet to try and find ways to get it to work. I had a DMZ error, where it claimed it could not find the port. All I had to do was change the port number to automatic. 2 YEARS!! and I found out in 2 seconds one day on Yahoo Answers. You should have seen my face. I was really PO'd. Yeh, thank goodness it was free!

As stated before, I love that it is free. I have both an Xbox 360 and PS3 but I buy and play almost all of my games on the PS3 because I love not having to pay for online activities. I feel that the Playstation Network premium access or whatever it is called is pretty useless.

I honestly didn't like it. I thought it was extremely laggy compared to Live.
