Super Smash Bros Brawl

While I haven't played the game myself, I've heard that it's one of the best games for the wii, and has quite a large community behind it. Anyone who's played, is it really that good? I'm sure that if I had a wii I'd buy it sense there aren't a lot of other titles out for it that interest me.
