Sold my faulty PS3, buy another or wait?

I know the likelihood of a Playstation 4 anytime before 2012 now seems unrealistic, but if you were in my position and you had just sold your faulty PS3, would you purchase another or just wait for the next console?

Depends on how much I sold it for. How much cash did you get. If you got alot or none. If its about equal to PS3 price then I say go for a new one. When PS4 comes along you can easily see a chance to ditch that one as well if you need to do so. You never know PS4 might not play PS3 games as well. Although I find that unlikely. Its possible.
