PS4 controller DualShock 4 Features

PlayStation 4´s offering is the dual-shock 4 – a sturdier and weightier control than the one which came with the PS3. Testers found it took a while to get used to, but once they were accustomed to the action found it much more accurate.

When it came to the PS 3′s Dualshock 3, the rounded tips always caused thumbs to slide around uncontrollably, especially after particularly long gaming sessions and sweaty hands. With the Dualshock 4, this is no longer an issue because of its joystick’s slight indent, a feature that was already a big part of the Xbox 360′s controller.

The new DualShock 4 controller features a new highly sensitive six-axis sensor, as well as a touch pad located on the front of the controller, which offers gamers completely new ways to play and interact with games.

Additionally Sony revealed two coloured PS4 DualShocks in ‘Magma Red’ and ‘Wave Blue’. Unlike the old pad which made from the same plastic all over this shows off the seperation between the textured grips and touchpad more prominently.

Sony will ship a black version of the DualShock 4 controller with the PlayStation 4, leaving you to shell out some extra cash if you’re looking for more fancy colors.

The touch-screen panel is responsive and works well, and while there is no trigger rumble you still get the sense of weight being shifted around.

Voice Command Capabilities

An improved version of the camera PlayStation Eye, known simply as the PlayStation Camera, will launch alongside the PS4. It will support some cool new features such as Kinect-style voice commands and will cost about 60 $.

“Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm that PlayStation Camera allows for voice recognition and we will look forward to sharing more details in the lead up to the launch of PlayStation 4 on November 29,” a Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson announced.

Those who missed out on pre-ordering a launch day PS4 should jump on this immediately due to the high demand for PS4 systems.
